Our Concealed Weapon Carry Course duration is approximately 2 1/2 hours (including time at the shooting range). The class places a heavy emphasis on safety. You will learn the necessary fundamentals to handle, care for and carry your handgun.
You are required to take a Concealed Weapons Permit Class before you can apply for your license with the State of Florida. You must be a legal U.S. resident or U.S. citizen, be 21 years of age or older and have a clean record.
A certificate of completion will be provided to the student at the end of the class.
Course includes loaner gun, eye/ear protection and target. Range fee and ammunition not included.
You will learn the following topics:

*Sight Alignment/Sight Picture
*Trigger press
*Breathing

You must bring the following items:
* personal firearm (if you do not own a weapon, one will be provided
*25 rounds (minimum)

This course lasts approximately 3 hours. Students will engage in practical drills to build speed and accuracy. The basic knowledge acquired during the concealed weapon course will be enhanced with additional skills and techniques, such as:
*Firearms Safety/Fundamentals and selecting appropriate gear
*Drawing from the holster IWB,OWB,appendix or fanny pack carry
*Multiple defensive ready positions
*Strong hand and support hand drills
*Shooting from behind cover
*Emergency reload/tactical reload
*Clearing malfunctions (Misfire,Stovepipe & Double Feed)
*Realistic live-fire drills
You must bring the following items:
* functional semi-automatic pistol (minimum 9mm caliber - no revolvers)
* 150 rounds of ammunition
*ear/eye protection
*belt holster (rigid, Kydex; must cover trigger guard)
* magazine pouches (2 minimum)
* sturdy belt
* hat/cap
* appropriate clothing (no low-cut tops, open toed shoes/flip-flops, no red shirts

This course is designed for experienced shooters who are looking to further develop their skill set. The course will take place at an outdoor range to allow for various in-depth drills and special tactics while shooting on the move. You will learn how to shoot from the strong hand and support hand, as well as tactical and speed reload, among others. Group and individual private classes available.
You must bring the following items:
* functional semi-automatic pistol (minimum 9mm caliber - no revolvers)
*400 rounds of ammunition
*ear/eye protection belt holster (rigid, Kydex; must cover trigger guard)
*magazine pouches (2 minimum)
*sturdy belt
*hat/cap
*appropriate clothing (no low-cut tops, open toed shoes/flip-flops, no red shirts

This course picks up where the Defensive Pistol I left off and builds on the skills learned to enhance your technique. Various situations will be used to refine your ability to react quickly under stressful conditions. Refine strong and support hand while moving for cover.
You will learn how to shoot from both kneeling and prone positions and utilize cover to your advantage. Refine emergency reloading, tactical reloading, reload with retention, clearing malfunctions. Additionally, you will practice drills to enhance accuracy and speed.
You must bring the following items:

*450 rounds of ammunition ear/eye protection belt holster (rigid, Kydex; must cover trigger guard)
* magazine pouches (2 minimum)

The collapsible baton and handcuff training are combined into one fluid course. The course is simple to learn and easy to understand. It provides efficient training and tactics. You will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize threat, engage and restrain the aggressor. Course knowledge includes how to carry, draw, strike and handcuff the subject. Ideally, this class is designed for security personnel.
You will learn the following topics:

*Maintenance
Oleoresin Capsicum (OC), more commonly known as pepper spray, is considered a basic non-lethal form of self defense. Through hands-on exercises and instruction you will learn the skills needed to recognize the threat, decide how and when to use force, as well as drawing and spraying techniques.
Shotguns can also be an effective form of self defense, home protection, sporting and hunting. Tactical drills and live-fire exercises will help students become efficient with weapon operations. Both Basic and Practical level shotgun courses are available for private, individual and group classes.

In order to obtain a Class "G" Statewide Firearm License, each applicant must successfully complete the 28-hour initial qualification course. This course provides students with the basic knowledge and proficiency skills needed to safely handle and shoot a handgun. In addition to extensive educational material on firearms safety and the mechanical operation of firearms, this course also includes material on various legal aspects of firearms ownership, possession and use. An exam will be administered to test the student's knowledge the of content upon completing the classroom portion of the 28-hours course. Finally, students will be required to demonstrate proficiency in shooting a handgun by passing the course of fire outlined in the training manual by FDACS.
You must bring the following items:
-your duty weapon/back-up weapon, duty belt, holster, two magazine pouches and three pistol magazines
-for revolvers two speed loaders and pouch required.
- 144 Rounds of Ammunition provided by instructor
- eye/ear protection

In order to remain eligible to continue to carry a Class "G" license the licensee must successfully complete 4 hours of range and classroom training taught by a FL Class "K" firearms instructor. The course hours will include:
*legal aspects of firearms use
*firearms familiarization, mechanical operation, and marksmanship
*written examination
*practical exercise - dry fire of qualification course
*requalification course (live fire)
You must bring the following items:
-your duty weapon/back-up weapon, duty belt, holster, two magazine pouches and three pistol magazines
-for revolvers two speed loaders and pouch required.
- 50 Rounds of ammunition (48 required for re-qualification)
-Maximum 24 Rounds of Ammunition, buckshot. (Shotgun)
-Maximum 90 Rounds of Ammunition. (Patrol Rifle/Carbine)

This class is designed for concealed license holders. If you obtained your concealed license, but haven't made it to the range lately and feel you've lost some of the basic skills learned, then this class is for you. We will review basic techniques and perform practical drills in order to "refresh" the tactics previously learned and increase your confidence level when using your firearm.
You must bring the following items:
- personal firearm (if you do not own a weapon, one will be provided
- 50 rounds (minimum)
- two magazines (if owned)

This is an introductory course designed for students with no formal or minimal knowledge and experience handling a rifle. The course will progressively guide the student through the basic skills level in order to safely handle and deploy a rifle efficiently.
The course will cover the following topics:
*Firearms safety rules
*Establishing a proper zero
*The seven fundamentals of marksmanship
*Ready positions/presentation
*Positional Shooting
You must bring the following items:
*A functional and practical rifle (one may be provided by instructor upon request at no additional cost)
*Iron sights required; optics and read dot sights are optional or may serve as a back-up
*Rifle sling preferred
*150 rounds of ammunition
*Three functional rifle magazines
*Magazine pouches (recommended)
*Eye/ear protection
Upon completion of this course, the student will have a fundamental understanding and practical skills level needed to handle a rifle effectively at a distance of up to 25 yards. Some of the techniques include shooting from both standing and supported shooting platforms, as well as, the use of cover and concealment.
The course will cover the following topics:
*Firearms safety rules
*Proper manipulation of the rifle *Ammunition and rifle shooting fundamentals
*Three types of rifle malfunctions
*Live fire drills
You must bring the following items:
*A functional and practical rifle (one may be provided by instructor upon request at no additional cost)
*Iron sights required; optics and read dot sights are optional or may serve as a back-up
*Rifle sling preferred
*200 rounds of ammunition
*Three functional rifle magazines
*Magazine pouches (recommended)
*Eye/ear protection
This is a four -hour course for experienced shooters. Experience is considered as good working knowledge of loading, unloading, reloading and clearing malfunctions.
The course will cover the following topics:
*strong-hand/support hand shooting
*drawing from the holster
*moving to kneeling position
*shooting behind cover/concealment
*transitioning from rifle to pistol
You must bring the following items:
PISTOL

*Sturdy gun belt holster

RIFLE

$160, plus range fee and ammunition.
You will learn the basic practical skills and laws needed to obtain the concealed weapons certification. The class places a heavy emphasis on Safety. You'll also learn the necessary fundamentals to handle, care for and carry your handgun.
You will not be eligible to obtain a permit if you have been convicted a felony or misdemeanor crime; or if you have a record of drug/alcohol abuse; if you are under a restraining order for domestic violence; or if you have been adjudicated incompetent; etc.
The class will last approximately 3 - 4 hours, depending on your previous experience and knowledge.
You will need to purchase the ammunition and pay for the range fee separately, which is $15-$20, depending on the shooting range. If you already own a handgun, you must take the course using your own weapon.
The permit is valid for seven years. The State of Florida will send you communication via mail several months before the permit is set to expire.
You must be at least 21 years of age to obtain the permit.
You must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien. You must be able to provide valid proof of status.
You will not be required to shoot your weapon to renew your permit.
After you complete the course, you must make an appointment with the Florida Department of Agriculture at 305-639-3500. You must bring proof of citizenship/residency, certificate of course completion and payment for the permit to the state. Your fingerprints and photo ID will be completed during your appointment.
